Top 10 Favorite things so far:

(Not in any order) This is for you Mrs. Gupta who always ask what is my favorite thing J

1.     .     Not shaving my legs! Some of us have gone longer than others. It is actually kind of fun comparing how long our hair is getting. I do shave when we are in Vila but in the villages no. It is great!!! I do still shave my armpits everyday. Some have stopped that. I am not there yet but maybe soon!
2.           My host family is AMAZING!!!
3.           Kids playing! The kids here play with anything. I watched one day for about 2 hours kids playing a game with coconut shells and a deflated ball. They were having so much fun!
4.           My view all the time!
5.          Another Volunteer and I started our own committee called the Birthday Committee and it has been great. May is a busy month for our group and it makes me happy to make sure that no one is forgotten about on their birthdays. It can be hard be away from home!
6.           My group G27! I could not have been luckier with the group of people I get to share this adventure with. We are all so close and we know EVERYTHING about each other. And I mean EVERYTHING!!!!
7.          I  love the way Ni-Vans use their land for everything. It is absolutely amazing how you can live on exactly what God already provided.  I will have to do another post on this. Just coconuts alone are used for MANY things!
8.          The boat ride!
9.         The stars at night! OMG!!! They are stunning J I want to learn more about stars now.
10.       Praise and worship at church! There is no production, stage, or instruments or anything like that. It is the congregation and kids singing. If you want everyone to sing a song you just start singing it and everyone follows. It is remarkable to see and hear. It is exactly what I picture heaven will be like.

 10 Least Favorite things so far:

1.     Flies!!!! They are the worst!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2.     Fighting creatures to use the toilet.

3.     Rice

4.     Dogs barking at night!

5.     Roosters start crowing at 4 am and do not stop until like 7. It is crazy!!!

6.     Texting on a phone that is not an iPhone.

7.     How dark it gets. At like 6 in the evening it is pitched dark.

8.     Not having a fan.

9.     Being alone

10. My face always feeling oily.
