On April 13th, early morning, my principal and his wife gave birth to their third child. It's boy. His name is Nelson Shannen. But around here, we call him Baby Shannen.
A few months ago, my principal and I had a conversation about names. We talked about how Shannon is a girl/boy name. They did not know what they were having. After a couple of weeks, he told me they were going to name the baby Shannon. I could not believe it.
Then, we got the call that she had Baby Shannen. I feel very special that they named their baby after me. The name Shannen is not here in Vanuatu, that I know of. So I have made my mark. There soon will be a little Shannen running around.
Now, I know I will be returning to Vanuatu in the future to check on this little baby.
